Sony Xperia Pro-I leak shows 1-inch sensor and new pro video modes

UPDATE: The phone has officially launched. The phone packs a Snapdragon 888 chipset, a 12MP camera setup, two physical camera controls, a 6.5-inch 4K OLED 120Hz panel, and a 4,500mAh battery. The phone is priced from EUR1,799 (about RM8,654).

According to leaked press renders, Sony’s upcoming Xperia PRO-I looks like quite the photography beast as it comes packed with a large imaging module at the back.

There looks to be a large 1-inch sensor being housed in the main camera module, and it’s co-engineered with ZEISS.

The set of imaging features touted to come with the Xperia PRO-I include Eye Autofocus, a new pro video mode, and even a remote monitor function and controller.

These renders show a display that has very thin bezels on the sides, which would make for great content consumption.

The phone will charge via USB-C and support side-mounted finger print scanner.

There’s no word on what chipset the PRO-I will pack, with its imminent launch set for this week, we won’t have to wait long until we see what else the phone offers.
