With MWC cancelled, Sony is left with no choice but to host its own livestream to introduce its new devices, including the successor to the Xperia 1.

Just like what was reported earlier today, the Xperia 1 II is exactly like what its leaked promo materials described. It features a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display and is powered by a Snapdragon 865 5G chipset. It’ll also get 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and come with a 4,000mAh battery that supports wireless charging.

This time, Sony seemed to put in a lot of effort into its audio experience. The Xperia 1 II has a 3.5mm audio jack and also a stereo front speaker that supports Dolby Atmos and 360 Reality Audio, resulting in the production of high-resolution audio.

Apart from that, Sony also included a triple 12MP camera setup on the phone. Sony made sure to include some features that can be found in professional cameras such as real-time Eye AF, Touch AF, custom WB and also noise reduction technology. On the front, we get an 8MP camera. According to Sony, this phone will ship in spring in three different colours.

Sony also introduced the Xperia 10 II, a midrange with a 6-inch OLED display. It is powered by a Snapdragon 665 chipset and comes with 4GB RAM paired with 128GB storage.

Although it has a triple camera setup, only its main camera is a 12MP lens. The other two lenses are a 52mm 8MP lens and another 16mm 8MP lens. It also doesn’t support 5G network and has a smaller 3,600mAh battery. This device will ship in spring with four colour options.

Sony also revealed the Sony Xperia Pro that is still under development, but this device supposedly uses 5G mmWave and will be a game-changer for video makers. It’ll come with an HDMI port that can be used to connect to Sony Alpha cameras, turning it into a viewfinder. Sony also say that it can be used as a broadcasting device by taking advantage of its 5G connectivity.
