Android 7.0 Nougat will most probably be the main talking point among Android fans for the weeks to come as the new Android version has been officially released to the public. Current and previous generation Nexus device users and users of the Pixel C should be expecting OTA updates to rollout right now. While the LG V20 will be the first official handset launched with Android Nougat out of the box, Sony has announced the phones which will be getting Android Nougat.
According to the manufacturer’s Sony Mobile blog, Sony will be making Android 7.0 Nougat available to the Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance. We’re pretty certain that no other Xperia device outside this circle will be getting their share of the new Android version.
Apart from the added features packed with Android Nougat such as grouped app notifications and running two apps simultaneously side by side, we’ll be expecting a bunch of new features from Sony as well. Having said that, Sony did not mention or specify a particualr date or timeframe in which the Xperia’s will be getting the update so don’t get too excited just yet.
