Sony’s audio products are all about Hi-Res audio and bass these days, the company has introduced the GTK-XB7, a big boombox speaker that looks badass enough to spice up your party room with two 16cm woofers and 12 ambient lighthing modes that reacts according to the music you are playing, the GTK-XB7 is the latest addition to the company’s EXTRA BASS family and it uses DSP technology that cleverly processes frequencies according to the source while maintaining a decent audio quality, Sony has even gone further to promote the speakers best listened with EDM genres.
The GTK-XB7 comes in three striking colours and great wireless audio streaming capabilities, it features NFC easy pairing and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity that supports A2DP and AVRCP profiles, on top of that it supports the LDAC codec which allows three times more wireless transmission bandwidth to enable a better wireless audio listening experience. If you are thinking to make even louder sound, the GTK-XB7 has a Speaker Add function to easily connect an additional XB7 to party even harder. Furthermore, you can tune the speaker’s sound quality using the Sony Songpal app, which is available as a free download for Android and iOS devices.
On a side note, the GTK-XB7 still supports wired connection as it features RCA inputs, there is also a USB port that also charges your device at a 2.1A output. The GTK-XB7 will be available for purchase and preview at Sony’s roadshow in Mid Valley this week, Sony Malaysia has also priced the speaker at a rather attractive price of RM1,199, so head on there to take a look at this big speaker.
