Sony launches mid range Xperia L1

Sony’s Xperia lineup has never been undermined by anyone since it started. The company had a successful outing at the recent Mobile World Congress at Barcelona, so it now launches another Xperia device as an added bonus. Introducing the Xperia L1, Sony’s latest mid range smartphone.

The Sony Xperia L1 will certainly be far less popular than its higher end siblings, but like any other device, it is worth knowing about. Sony claims the Xperia L1 as an Xperia smartphone that performs as good as it looks. While the phone sports the look of a typical current generation Xperia device, its specs suggest otherwise. Sony made a not so good decision with the Xperia L1’s display on the front. While it measures at 5.5-inches, resolution is only a sub par 720p instead of Full HD at 1080p.

Sony opted for a MediaTek MT6737T processor underneath the hood of the Xperia L1, alongside 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to an extra 256GB via micro SD. There is no 3GB RAM/32GB storage model available, just in case you’re wondering. The camera package is of a standard affair – a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP selfie shooter sporting the same aperture. The phone packs a 2,620mAh battery and supports Qnovo adaptive charging via the USB Type-C port.

There isn’t a price tag for the Xperia L1 just yet, but we’re expecting a pretty affordable one considering its specs. The Sony Xperia L1 will be available late April, which is next month.
