We’re nearing the end of the 2019, meaning products released on the yearly should see its final iterations introduced soon. One of these products is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 735 chipset.
In April, the 7-series chipset made its debut, bringing with its sweet spot between power and affordability, placing it in the upper mid-tier segment. The Snapdragon 730 is the best of the lot in this series, putting it just below the Snapdragon 835.

The gap between the two chipsets will further be reduced when the Snapdragon 735 arrives with its 7nm manufacturing process, and octa-core build. DroidHolic reported that the specs for the chip has been leaked showing 1x Cortex A76 @ 2.36GHz + 1x Cortex A76 @ 2.32GHz + 6x Cortex A55 @ 1.73GHz. This is an overall upgrade over its predecessor.
Over on the GPU side of things, the report suggests an Adreno 620 to provide the power, which is also an upgrade over the Snapdragon 730’s Adreno 618. Plus, with the onset of onset of a mass 5G rollout next year, the Snapdragon 735 could also have support for the new standard of connectivity. These are just leaks for now, but it’s touted to be introduced this year.
