Exciting weekend ahead for us gaming geeks – the ServerDNA-IV convention is taking place this September 28 and 29, and will play host to a list of gaming-centric activities such as talks, cosplay events, gaming product expos, lucky draws and tournaments.

And one big tournament happening during the two-day event is the Kuala Lumpur Royal Esports Masters, which is organized by the Kuala Lumpur Electronic Sports Association.

Speaking during the tournament press conference was Kuala Lumpur Electronic Sports Association (ESKL) president Hisham Darus – he expects about 3,000 participants to compete at the tournament, adding to the typically large crowds who attend ServerDNA.

He also said that this is the state body’s initiative to bring together the gaming and esports community – pushing the industry further by providing talented players a platform to shine. During the event, you will also be greeted by the e-sports athletes who will be representing the country at the upcoming 2019 Manila SEA Games.

Players will battle in two games – CS:GO and FIFA 20, for a share of a total of RM1mil in outstanding cash prizes.

Also, if you need more reason to head over, officiating the opening of the event is Johor Regent HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim himself – to put the “Royal” in Royal Esports Masters.

Plus, if you stick around, you stand a chance to win a share of RM100,000 worth of lucky draw prizes as well. Entry to the event is free – you can visit their website here for more information as well as event agendas.
