Selangkah app now supports MySejahtera QR codes and check-ins via GPS

Selangor has enhanced its existing Selangkah app with newer health and tracking features; more importantly, it can scan QR codes and will also become a commercial app to help smaller businesses.

Built-in scanner allows QR codes from MySejahtera and Selangkah

The current Selangkah app already has a few useful features like a map that shows you affected premises, the visitor trend to specific locations and also the visitor log of whichever premise you check in (without revealing personal information). However, Selangkah also added a new built-in scanner that can scan Selangkah and MySejahtera QR codes and another feature that allows you to check in via GPS on your phone. Other new features include a new bulletin board so Selangkah users can receive the latest news regarding COVID-19 from the government and a history section for their previous check-ins.

Register for COVID-19 vaccine using your Selangkah ID

In the future, the app will come with an ‘RSVP’ feature — register and sign up for your vaccine pack. App users can use their Selangkah IDs to register when the vaccination is available and they’ll also get a digital certification once they’ve been vaccinated.

Selangkah will also be an e-wallet app

On the commercial side, the Selangkah app will help small business by introducing Selangkah BIZ — small business owners will be able to accept cash less payments from any e-wallets once the feature is launched. This will be followed by Selangkah Wallet, meaning Selangkah will also turn into an e-wallet provider. You’ll also be able to pay for your bills and summons when the app introduces Selangkah Pay in the future.
