After going through one year with silence on the Assassin’s Creed series, there has finally been a leak with a potential screen shot of the gameplay and name of the new installment which will be called Assassin’s Creed: Origins. This information comes from WWG which then has been confirmed by Eurogamer.
The first off-screen image of the game was published on Reddit which shows a bow-wielding assassin on a small boat which is not foreign, as we have seen this mode of transport in the other games. Early last year, Kotaku reported that the location of the new game will be in Egypt and will be called Assassin’s Creed Empire which seemed to take a change in the name, based on this leak, whether it will be set in Egypt or not is unknown as the screenshot does not tell us much about the location.
Ubisoft has recently mentioned that they have listened to all feedback from the Unity game and is recommitted to making the franchise a premier open world game once again and improving the game mechanics to give players a more unique and memorable gameplay experience. It’s a relieve to know they acknowledge that Unity underperformed and the company is set to make the Assassin’s Creed franchise great again.
