Apple offers screen replacement program for Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3

While the Apple Watch Series 5 may be just around the corner, the company has offered a new screen replacement program for its Apple Watch Series 2 and Series 3.

Apple revealed in its support page that the Series 2 and Series 3 aluminum models may start cracking under “very rare circumstances” and the cracks will eventually get bigger. To solve the problem, Apple offers the screen replacement program that will replace the cracked screen on eligible Apple Watch units for free.

Apple also listed out the series and models of its Apple Watch that may be affected by this issue. This includes the Apple Watch Series 2, Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2, Apple Watch Series 3 — both GPS and GPS + Cellular variants, and Apple Watch Nike+ Series 3 — both GPS and GPS + Cellular variants.

If you have an Apple Watch Series 2 or Series 3 that are facing such issue, you can send it to the Apple Repair Center to get it examined and if it’s eligible for the program, it will be taken by the authorities to be fixed and returned in approximately five business days.
