Samsung launched its flip phone in China a few days back, the successor to the W2018 which comes at a high-end price.
The W2019 has 4.2-inch SUPER AMOLED Full HD dual displays, one like the traditional flip phone and one on the exterior of the phone. It supports dual-sim and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the side but differing from the traditional flip phones, the W2019 does not have a headphone jack.
Besides that, it comes with dual 12MP cameras with f/1.5 aperture that also supports OIS and 2x optical zoom whereas the front camera has a 8MP lens. The cameras are capable of shooting 4K videos and also supports Samsung’s Super Slo-Mo mode.
The flip phone runs on Android 8.1 and is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor, in addition to having a 6GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB internal storage. It has a 3070mAh battery and charges through USB-C port.
The W2019 comes in Rose Gold and Platinum, and costs around CNY 18,999. It is currently only released in China and South Korea, and if it’s like its predecessor, it will not be officially available to other countries.
