Samsung’s Sound on Display technology is likely to appear in CES 2019

Technology is never going to stop advancing, and its recent results offered full-display smartphones, multiple camera setups and in-display fingerprint scanners. There’s also the recent Infinity-O display that Samsung’s newer devices have started adopting.

According to BGR, the Electronic Times reported that Samsung will be displaying its Sound On Display OLED panels at CES 2019, though it was already revealed earlier this year, showing how the sounds are being emitted from the display instead of speakers like most of the smartphones seen now.

The company’s Sound on Display technology works through the use of vibration and bone conduction, so that the component for sound emission can be placed right under the screen’s surface, eliminating the holes for speakers that are often seen on the bottom and back of the phone.

With this new technology, Samsung might even equip the Galaxy S10 series with it, though others say it seem unlikely. However, as the Galaxy S10 series is very significant to the company, it might be possible for Samsung to provide it with all the greatest technology they can come up with, such as the ultrasonic sensor technology by Qualcomm and the Infinity-O display.
