Samsung's Galaxy S8 will have an S8+ variant with a 6.2" screen

Another day, another piece of information about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone gets leaked. Today, we get our first bit of information about the other variant of the S8, and from the looks of things, this particular model could potentially be bigger than expected.

Well-known leaker Evan Blass has managed to get his hands on the specifications sheet of the S8+, and it reveals that the S8+ will sport 6.2″ “full rectangle” QHD Super AMOLED display. Taking into account the curved screens that the S8+ will most likely have, then the screen size of the phone is measured at 6.1″. While the screen size is definitely bigger than the standard S8, it is possible that the S8+ would have the same, if not slightly bigger footprint than the normal S8.

Other information revealed about the S8+ includes a 12MP Dual Pixel rear camera, 8MP front camera, IP68 rating, Iris Scanner, Samsung Knox security etc. While we don’t have the full specifications list just yet, the S8+’s components will most likely be identical to the regular S8.
