Samsung's Galaxy S8 to have whopping 6GB of RAM

With the image of Samsung’s best phone to date – the Galaxy Note 7 still in our minds, the phablet’s sales and production had to be ceased due to explosion tragedies and fire incidents surrounding it. Rumor also has it that Samsung has been rushing to push out the Galaxy S8 to make up for all the losses sustained with the Galaxy Note 7. Latest claims tell us that the S8 will be sporting a 5.5-inch display instead.

The latest rumor originates from Chinese micro blogging site Weibo, claiming that the S8 will feature a Super AMOLED screen with QHD resolutio, plus a staggering 6GB of RAM. Smartphones with 6GB of RAM in 2016 are usually by Chinese manufacturers, till Samsung launched its first 6GB RAM handset, the Galaxy C9 Pro in the Chinese market. Having said that, 2017 seems more like the right year to start implementing 6GB of RAM underneath the hood of smartphones.

Other rumors include a new Snapdragon 830 or Samsung’s own Exynos 9985 depending on the region. Apart from that, the upcoming flagship is also expected to come with Google DayDream VR support, plus a Samsung USB Type-C Gear VR headset. The Galaxy S8 is slated to make its debut at MWC 2017 next year. What do you think?
