Samsung’s foldable smartphone to be officially announced this month

Foldable smartphones are apparently a thing now; Xiaomi teased their prototype foldable smartphone last month, while Samsung Galaxy Fold will be the Korean manufacturer’s take on the idea.

According to TechNave, the Galaxy Fold is set to be officially unveiled at Unpacked 2019. Samsung teased the news on their twitter page via a 15 second video. In the clip shows the sentence “The Future Unfolds”, followed by the date February 20 – suggesting that the word “Unfold” hints at a reveal of the Galaxy Fold. But take this news with a grain of salt as nothing has been confirmed yet.

A graphic of the number 10 could also be seen – so it’s possible that the Galaxy S10 will be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Fold.

According to TechNave, the Galaxy Fold will feature Samsung’s Infinity Flex Display which will measure at 7.3-inches a secondary screen measuring 4.6-inches. The phone is also reportedly going to cost a whopping RM6,931.
