Samsung will reveal the launch date of the Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017

We know for a fact that Samsung will not be launching the S8 at Barcelona in two weeks’ time. That being said, Samsung will at least be giving out one specific piece of information about the S8 during the week of MWC 2017 as there are reports that Samsung will be announcing the launch date of the S8 on the 27th of February.

According to a report by Korean news site Hankyung,  Samsung’s President of Mobile Communications Koh Dong-jin has stated that the company will be revealing the “official launch schedule” for the S8 at MWC 2017. Up until today, rumours are going around that Samsung is looking to hold a launch event for the S8 at New York sometime during late March or early April, with the device officially going on sale in late April. Come the following Monday, we will have confirmation as to whether or not the rumours have any merits.

While Samsung may reveal the launch date for the Galaxy S8, don’t expect the company to reveal any details about the phone itself. That particular bit of information will most likely be saved for its New York reveal.
