Samsung will continue using the Galaxy Note brand

Back when the Note 7 explosion became a common occurance, many were wondering if Samsung would retire the Galaxy Note brand altogether in order to distance itself from the Note 7 disaster. Well, you don’t have to wonder any longer as Samsung has come out and said that the Galaxy Note brand will continue to live on.

Speaking to CNet, Samsung’s mobile chief D.J. Koh assures them that the Galaxy Note 8 will be coming to the market. Koh also mentioned that the phone will be “better, safer, and very innovative.” As for the reason why Samsung has decided to continue using the Galaxy Note brand, Koh cites the fact that there are many loyal Note fans in the market as the reason why the company will stick with the brand, despite the fact that the Galaxy Note 7 has managed to tarnish the name of the brand.

As yesterday’s report shows, Samsung has been doing a good job with revealing what exactly went wrong with the Galaxy Note 7. Should this be the attitude that Samsung brings forward with the upcoming Note 8, it seems to be a good sign that the Note 7 will just be a black mark on the Galaxy Note brand as a whole.
