Samsung hints stylus support in more Galaxy phones next year

TM Roh, the President and Head of Mobile Communications Business of Samsung Electronics has confirmed that more Galaxy phones will be getting stylus support, and we believe that’ll start with the Galaxy S21 series.

Not all Galaxy S21 models will get stylus support

The Samsung Galaxy S21 series has been rumoured to come with the S Pen since a month ago. This is also related to the recent news that there may not be a new Galaxy Note series next year. With the Samsung Galaxy Note series gone, Samsung will need to make its Galaxy S series more interesting and appealing; there’s no better way than to include the Galaxy Note’s unique feature — the S Pen.

The Z Fold 3 may also come with a stylus

That being said, there’s a possibility that not all the Galaxy S21 phones will feature the S Pen. We’re assuming the Z Fold 3 will be one of the three phones to get the S Pen, so the remaining two may be the Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S21+. Apart from that, Roh also says to “be on the lookout for super-intelligent, pro-grade camera and video capabilities in 2021.”

Samsung customers can expect more upgrades in next year’s phones such as better performance optimisation, longer battery life and more AI capabilities. Samsung is also developing technologies like UWB which supposedly can open your car doors and locate different items including your house pet, but we still don’t know if these technologies will be integrated into the flagship Galaxy S21 series.
