Samsung’s latest Chromebook has a new stylus along with it, but it appears to not be named the S-Pen. Instead, the company has named the stylus “PEN”. The 12-inch Chromebook Pro has been silently listed on the manufacturer’s Korean website, without a proper launch. Let’s check out what Samsung has to offer with its latest Chrome OS device.
For starters, the Samsung Chromebook Pro features a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2400 x 1600 pixels. The transformer-style Chromebook has a 360-degree hinge, plus a dedicated slot for the newly named “PEN” stylus. Weighing at just over a kilo (1.08 kg), the Chromebook Pro comes with a thickness of 13.9 mm. Underneath the hood, the Chromebook Pro sports a hexa core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. Along with that are 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
The I/O of the Samsung Chromebook Pro consists of two USB Type-C ports, an SD card slot plus a headphone jack. The company has claimed on its Korean website that the Chromebook Pro is able to last up to 10 hours on a single charge, which is fairly decent. It runs Chrome OS onboard, but with the Play Store now available on Google’s OS, the Chromebook Pro, along with other similar devices can now support Android apps on top of the native Chrome apps.
