Just recently, Samsung brought the China-exclusive Galaxy C9 Pro to our local shores. There’s now a lower end sibling of the C9 Pro called the Galaxy C5 Pro. Don’t let “lower end” fool you though, this newly launched smartphone packs some good stuff as well.
The Galaxy C5 Pro isn’t as large as the C9 Pro, as it is non-phablet sized. Sporting a significantly smaller display than the latter, the screen of the former measures at 5.2-inches. It retains the same Full HD 1080p display. Underneath the hood lies a mid range Snapdragon 626 chipset, accompanied by 4GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage, along with a micro SD card that supports up to 256GB.
The handset likely features the same cameras as the higher end Galaxy C9 Pro – a 16MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture both on the rear and front of the device. The Galaxy C5 however, packs a rather small battery with a capacity of 2,600mAh, which sounds barely sufficient considering the processing power on its shoulders.
Priced at 2,499 CNY (RM1,611.67), it is definitely value for money, at least for a Samsung Galaxy device. The larger Galaxy C9 Pro costs a third more than the C5 Pro for comparison. Samsung China has already started receiving pre-orders for the Galaxy C5 Pro.
