Samsung replies to Apple's Jet Black iPhone with a Pearl Black Galaxy S7

Apple has always been at the forefront when it comes to setting new trends, with the ability to shift the perception of consumers in the world of technology. Most recently, the company launched its latest iPhone 7 lineup, controversially removing the 3.5mm headphone jack from the handsets, yet majority of Apple’s diehard fanbase stood by the decision. The annual iPhone refresh also saw a new color option – Jet Black. Seems like Jet Black is a really favorable color as Samsung happens to be planning something similar with its 2016 flagship.

According to Sam Mobile, Samsung will be adding a new paint job for the Galaxy S7 Edge, set to launch on the 9th of December. The new color pretty much resembles the Jet Black color of Apple’s iPhones, and it will be dubbed Pearl Black. The Pearl Black model of the Galaxy S7 Edge is said to come in with 128GB of internal storage. Apart from that, everything else internally remains the same.

The Pearl Black Galaxy S7 Edge will likely be a South Korean exclusive for the near future, since there are no talks of Samsung bringing the newly painted handset outside of its home land. Needless to say, a handful of enthusiasts can’t wait to get their hands on the Pearl Black variant. Having said that, is it too late for Samsung to add another color option to its early 2016 flagship smartphone?
