Samsung is one of the world’s most requesting monitors at the moment, the company didn’t miss out the chance to release a new premium 32-inch Ultra HD monitor with AMD FreeSync support; U32E850R. The monitor features a 32-inch PLS panel, with 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160 pixels) native resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 350 cd/m2 maximum brightness, 4 ms response time, and dynamic mega-contrast.

The PLS panel will offer 30-bit color (1.07 billion colors). Connectivity includes DisplayPort 1.2a (require for FreeSync to work), mini-DisplayPort, two HDMI and one surprisingly additional connectivity from Samsung; USB 3.0 hub. Samsung seems that they have finally learned from feedback from its flimsy T-shaped stand, and gave this monitor a conventional rectangle-base standthat offers swivel, tilt, and height adjustments.

The buttons on the screen appear to be tactile feel rather than the predecessor touch buttons. Overall the screen design looks sleek and minimalist, which will be one of the selling points for Samsung to the consumers. However, the stand looks slightly small for a big screen like the U32E850R and we hope that the stand can withstand a huge screen.

The Samsung U32E850R will price at USD 1,199 (approx. RM 4,630) and it’s already available in some retail stores.
