Samsung launches Galaxy Tab A8 in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia has brought in the Galaxy Tab A8, a 10.5-inch mid-range tablet that succeeds the popular Galaxy Tab A7, and best of all, it has remained the same retail price at RM999 for the WiFi variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

With a 10.5-inch display, users are treated to a 16:10 aspect ratio with a resolution of 1920×1200, which makes it better for reading content and consuming media compared the Galaxy Tab A7, though it does weigh slightly heavier than the Tab A7 at 508g.

The Galaxy Tab A8 is powered by a UNISOC Tiger T618 octa-core chip, which can be found on many Chinese tablets that delivers decent mid-range performance and probably one of the reasons why Samsung is able to remain such competitive pricing, the tablet will come preloaded with Android 11 and One UI 3, making it one of the few mid-range Android tablets to come with a more recent version of Android.

In other hardware features, the Galaxy Tab A8 sports a 8MP autofocus main camera and a 5MP front facing camera, a quad stereo speaker system with Dolby Atmos support, a side mounted fingerprint reader and a 7040mAh battery with 15W fast charging.

For a limited time till 28th February 2022, customer who order the Galaxy Tab A8 will receive free gifts up to RM209 which includes a Clear Edge Cover and 1-year Samsung Care+ protection, it can be purchased at Samsung’s online store, Samsung Experience Stores and authorized retail channels nationwide.
