Shortly after introducing its leading Galaxy A series for 2022, Samsung continues to launch two entry-level models for the Galaxy A series line up, they are the Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A23.
As entry-level phones, these two models omits 5G connectivity and IP67 water resistance from the recently announced models, but they do share common features such as having a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT display, quad cameras, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
The Galaxy A23 is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor, its quad camera array interestingly sports a 50MP f/1.8 OIS camera, which sounds pretty impressive on paper and makes it one of the few phones of its range to come with an optically stabilized camera, it also has a 5MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor, while the front facing camera takes a modest 8MP resolution.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A13 is powered by an Exynos 850 processor, it has a similar quad camera setup and front camera as the A23 however lacks OIS on its main sensor, and on the bright side, both the Galaxy A13 and A23 will have headphone jacks.
Both phones will ship with Android 12, however only the Galaxy A23 will come with the full fledge version of One UI 4, while the Galaxy A13 will come with a lighter One UI 4 Core skin, they also lack NFC which means you don’t get Samsung Pay, but with these omissions, the Galaxy A13 and A23 retails significantly cheaper than the A33 5G at RM799 and RM999 respectively, color options are being offered in Awesome Blue, Awesome Black and Awesome Peach, while the Galaxy A23 gets an additional choice of Awesome White.
