The Samsung Galaxy A8s was launched in China yesterday, and that makes it the first smartphone with an Infinity-O display.

The A8s comes with a 6.4-inch FullHD LCD display, and it has no notch since it’s being replaced by the in-screen hole that houses the front camera. The phone also comes with a USB-C port but on the other hand, Samsung has followed Apple’s footsteps and removed the headphone jack. The phone also has a full-glass body and there’s a fingerprint sensor on the back.

Besides that, the A8s is powered by the Snapdragon 710 chipset, and it runs on Android Oreo 8.1. It comes with either 6GB or 8GB RAM, and it has 128GB storage but there is a microSD card slot for expandable storage up to 512GB and in addition to that, the phone also has 3300mAh battery.

The A8s comes with a triple rear camera setup that consists of a 24MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and also a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. On the other hand, the in-screen hole holds the 24MP front camera that has f/2.0 aperture.

The Samsung Galaxy A8s comes in Blue, Grey and Green, but it is unsure as to whether the phone will expand outside of the Chinese market hence there are still no information on the Malaysian pricing of the A8s.
