Samsung has revealed the mid-range phones that will receive Android Oreo update

Samsung is a little slow when it comes to OS updates for their budget phones. It makes sense why they would put a bigger priority on their flagship devices with all the events and marketing that goes into them. With the release of Android Pie, the company has finally announced when some of their mid-range phones will receive the Oreo update rather than the Pie update.

Samsung has no doubt, a wide variety of mid-range devices that are decent, however, most of them are stuck on Android 7.0. They have released a notice that details the devices that will be getting Oreo updates alongside the dates. Prior to this, there was a leak that surfaced listing down devices that will get the update, shortly after that, Samsung released the official notice on 12 phones that will receive the update:

December 2018
Samsung Galaxy J7 Neo.

January 2019
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2017)
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016)
Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro

It will still be a long time before you get the update on your respective phones, Samsung also added that the timeframes might change and the development could stop in case they run into any issues.
