Samsung Galaxy S23 series base storage could start from 256GB

As we are hours away from the debut of Samsung’s Unpacked event, more leaks have appeared and according to a leaked sales slide, the Galaxy S23 series are set to have a base storage of 256GB instead of 128GB on its predecessors.

Although this is certainly good news for many, the leaked sales slide also suggested that the Galaxy S23 will also have a higher starting price compared to the S22 series. If this turns out to be true, the Galaxy S23 256GB could cost RM500 more than the previous model with the same storage at RM4,199.

However, the more expensive starting price isn’t surprising since the Galaxy S23 is targeted at the iPhone 14, which the base 128GB storage model retails at RM4,199, so having offered double the storage of its direct competition is still a generous move nonetheless.

Having 256GB storage on Samsung’s flagship phone is a necessity considering its system files easily takes up 40GB of user storage, which doesn’t leave much for apps and media if the phones are still equipped with 128GB of storage.
