You’d think it being the year 2020 soon, we’ll be seeing Samsung roll out its newest Galaxy S11 and Note 11 series right? Wrong – in fact, it looks like the Korean giants will be keeping the current Galaxy S10 and Note 10 brands alive for a little while longer with the introduction of ‘Lite’ variants for both smartphones.

So the Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite are reported to be streamlined devices that are meant to be cheaper than its flagship brethren. Plus, they’re likely to be introduced at CES 2020 this January too.

We’ve also previously reported that the Galaxy S10 Lite will be bigger than the S10+ – it is said to come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display, but with a lower 1080p resolution instead.

For imaging, the phone could come with a 48MP triple lens setup at the back, with its 32MP selfie lens relocated to the middle of the display’s forehead.

Interestingly, the reports suggest that the Note 10 Lite will actually be the same size as the S10 Lite, but it’ll cost cheaper. This could be due to the former’s usage of an Exynos chipset, while the latter could be shipped with a Snapdragon 855 – but since we’ve never got a Snapdragon Galaxy S series device before, we reckon we’ll get Exynos packed into both products.

The Note 10 Lite will be equipped with a triple 12MP camera, while the series’ signature S Pen remains a feature.

There’s not word on when or if it’ll arrive in Malaysia, but since CES is around the corner, we could be getting more deets on its release soon enough.
