Galaxy Buds Pro: Samsung’s latest earbuds feature 360º spatial audio

Apart from the long-awaited Galaxy S21 series, Samsung also unveiled its latest earbuds — the Galaxy Buds Pro.

Galaxy Buds Pro now has spatial audio

The Galaxy Buds Pro comes with an 11mm woofer and a 6.5mm tweeter, in addition to support for 360º audio — much like the AirPods Pro’s spatial audio feature. This feature uses Dolby Head Tracking technology which tracks user’s head movement to offer surround sound experience when watching movies or shows.

Switch between Galaxy devices with ease

The Galaxy Buds Pro also has ANC and an Ambient mode that automatically detect user’s voice and lowers the music volume during conversations. Equipped with two outer mics and an inner mic, the earbuds are able to amplify speaker’s voice and also eliminate environmental noise including loud wind sounds via its outer mesh design paired with its inner wind chamber. Galaxy users can also conveniently use these earbuds with their Galaxy devices as it has an Auto Switch feature that automatically switches between devices when they’re in use.

Durable and comfortable design

As the earbuds come with an IPX7 rating, they’re fully waterproof and are said to fit comfortably in user’s ear. Samsung included a 2mm vent on the outer shell for airflow and to reduce pressure so these earbuds can be worn for a longer period of time. The Galaxy Buds Pro offers 5 hours of battery life in a single charge with 13 hours more when used with its charging case; if users use the earbuds without ANC, they’ll get up to 8 hours of playback and an extra 28 hours with the charging case.

The Galaxy Buds Pro is priced at RM799 and will be available from January 15 onwards.
