Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro gets improved ANC in new update

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro that was launched during Samsung’s Unpacked event is getting a new software update that enhances its current audio performance.

Software update currently available in the U.S.

The new update is currently only rolling out in the U.S., but it’ll also be available in other markets soon. According to SamMobile, both Active Noise Cancellation and Ambient Sound modes are improved, in addition to better system stability and reliability.

This follows an earlier update that lets users adjust their left/right sound balance and increase the responsiveness of Bixby voice wake up time. The update is only 2.2MB so it’ll be a quick update that can be installed from your Galaxy Wearable app.

Galaxy Buds Pro specs

For those who aren’t familiar with the Galaxy Buds Pro, these earbuds come with an 11mm woofer and a 6.5mm tweeter. They also support 360º audio which is similar to the spatial audio feature on the AirPods Pro. Apart from sporting ANC and Ambient Sound modes, the Galaxy Buds Pro also switches seamlessly between Galaxy devices. Imagine listening to music on your Galaxy tablet and when a phone call comes, your earbuds automatically switches to your Galaxy S21 for you to converse.

In Malaysia, the Galaxy Buds Pro is priced at RM799. Unfortunately, we don’t know when the software update will come to the local market.
