Samsung Galaxy A70 goes official with 6.7-inch Infinity-U display and 32MP triple camera

Samsung has quietly expanded its Galaxy A-series lineup with the announcement of the Galaxy A70. The latest 2019 Galaxy A-series smartphone is undoubtedly the most impressive yet and packs several impressive features.

The Galaxy A70 sports a large 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 Full HD+ resolution and a tall 20:9 aspect ratio. Similar to the Galaxy A50 announced last month, the Galaxy A70 comes with an In-display fingerprint sensor. It runs on an octa-core processor with two high-performance cores clocked at 2.0 GHz and six efficiency-oriented cores clocked at 1.7 GHz.

The smartphone packs 128GB of internal storage and will be available with up to 8GB of RAM. For further expansion, the Galaxy A70 includes a dedicated microSD card slot. Moving on to optics, the new Galaxy A70 has an impressive triple-camera setup on the back with a 32MP primary sensor coupled with an f/1.7 aperture. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide snapper with an f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. On the front is a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

One of the key highlights of the Galaxy A70 is its large 4500mAh capacity battery with 25W Super Fast charging. The Galaxy A70 is actually only the second Samsung smartphone after the Galaxy S10 5G to support Super Fast Charging. As expected, the smartphone runs on Android Pie-based Samsung One UI out of the box. Pricing and availability information has not been revealed yet. For now, Samsung has only revealed that the smartphone will come in Black, White, Coral, and Blue colors at launch.
