Samsung Galaxy A20 Quietly Announced With 6.4-inch Infinity-V Display and Dual Rear Cameras

Samsung has silently expanded its new Galaxy A series lineup with the launch of the Galaxy A20 in Russia. The new Galaxy A20 is positioned between the Galaxy A10 and A30 smartphones, both of which were launched last month.

The Samsung Galaxy A20 features a 6.4-inch Infinity-V display with 720 x 1560 HD+ resolution and a 3D Glasstic build. It runs on an Exynos 7884 octa-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz, clubbed with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory. The phone supports further expansion up to 512GB, thanks to a microSD card slot.

While the Galaxy A20 is very similar to the Galaxy A10 when it comes to the core hardware, it does come with a few significant upgrades. At the rear, Galaxy A20 has a 13MP + 5MP dual-camera setup instead of the single 13MP snapper on the Galaxy A10. The smartphone also comes with a more impressive 8MP front-facing camera and a larger 4000mAh capacity battery. Another notable addition is the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Galaxy A20 is currently available for purchase only in Russia, where it has been priced at RUB 13,990 (RM886). We expect the smartphone to make its way to other markets around the world in the coming weeks. Samsung is likely to unveil other new Galaxy A smartphones at its “A Galaxy event” on April 10.
