In February 2017, Apple announced WWDC 2017 which will be held in San Jose, California. The event will start on June 5 to June 9 at McEnery Convention Center and will be the first time Apple has hosted the event since 2002 there. The early announcement was probably to give attendees and others time to plan out their schedule due to the fact that the location was changed.
Some of the expected announcements will be the iOS11, rumors have surfaced that Apple is working on a social networking app that is similar to Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram with the focus of giving users different ways to share video, which will allow users to record video, make edits, add doodles and send out to friends. Other rumors also suggest that Apple has iPad-specific updates, and with little focus on iPad in iOS 10, it is expected that the new operating system will include this rumors, especially in expanding the Apple Pencil support for the iPad Pro and combined with the hardware improvements, to bring features like smoother on-screen zooming, panning, and scrolling.
Next is the arrival of the second iteration of the macOS, not much is known about the features that will come with the new operating system but it should feature another name that reflects the California landscape. We will also likely to see the new versions of the tvOS and watchOS, not much is also known about this new updates but expect it to have a better integration with iOS. The final rumor suggests that Apple is working on an Echo-like smart speaker with Siri and AirPlay. The devices are described as a fat looking Google Home with a concave top that has built-in controls and could include a Beats technology and will run a customized version of iOS.
