Remember RollerCoaster Tycoon? That old game where you’re tasked with running a theme park? Well, you can now relive the days of designing your own theme park from your smartphone as RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is now available for iOS and Android devices.
Priced at USD6 (RM26.99), RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic is based on the original RollerCoaster Tycoon and RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. The gameplay is has you building theme parks and balancing your operating costs in order to turn a profit, just like any other Tycoon-based game.
RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic does contain some in-app purchases though, as the “Wacky Worlds” and “Time Twister” content packs are premium content. In addition to that, the game also comes with a premium tool that lets you import and export save parks with cross-platform support for RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 on PC.
While the existence of premium content in a paid-for game may put off some people, rest assured that RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic does not contain any microtransactions like RollerCoaster Tycoon 4. The game is now available on both the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
