There was a rumor going around last month about an August announcement on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, now there more confirmation from two Korean publications, The Bell that stated the release date for the phone will be on August 23rd and The Investor, that said a Samsung executive would only confirm in the month of August without a concrete date.
Based on these reports, it is safe to say that next month the Note 8 will be announced, and the fact that Note devices are usually announced late summer. Speculations from Even Blass at VentureBeat on the phone is that it will come with the same 6.2-inch screen on the Galaxy S8 Plus, dual-camera and the signature S Pen.
Blass also mentioned that the dual-camera will be position horizontally and both will be 12MP sensors. The fingerprint sensor will be positioned next to the camera, similar to the S8 and will cost over $900 in the US. It will come in black, blue and gold. There should be more news in the next couple of weeks seeing as we are just half a month away from August.
