Redmi K30 is confirmed to launch on December 10 with 5G support

Redmi has released two teaser posters on Weibo, confirming the launch of the Redmi K30 on December 10.

Based on the posters on Weibo, the Redmi K30 is revealed to feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a quad-camera setup. In addition to that, both the Redmi K30 and the Redmi K30 Pro will support 5G on both SA and NSA networks. While the Redmi K30 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 765G 5G processor, the Redmi K30 Pro will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 855+ chipset. These phones will also be housing a 4,500mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

Unlike the Redmi K20 that uses a pop-up camera mechanism, the Redmi K30 will be integrated with a dual-selfie camera on its 6.67-inch punch-hole display. On its back, the Redmi K30 is reported to sport a 64MP main lens paired with a 12MP ultra-wide sensor and an 8MP telephoto lens. The fourth lens is still a mystery, but we should be expecting a macro lens or a depth sensor.

The Redmi K30 series should only be available in China when it launches, while its global variant may come later as the Xiaomi Mi 10T series.
