Realme U1 was launched recently in India, marking the beginning of a new series for the company. However, it seems like the company is ready to start another series called the A series and the first smartphone in that series will be called the Realme A1.
The Realme A1 is expected to be the next budget smartphone, though not much information has been revealed except that it’ll come two colours; Black and Yellow. As the Realme A1 is expected to be a budget smartphone, it will probably have specifications close to the Realme U1.
The U1 comes with a 6.3-inch LCD display with a dewdrop notch and has a Mediatek Helio P70 processor. It sports either 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, or 4GB with 64GB storage, and runs on ColorOS 5.2 based on Android 8.1, in addition to its 3500mAh battery. The U1 also has dual rear camera with 13MP + 2MP lenses, and a front 25MP camera.
The A1 is expected to run a lower-end processor, and it might be the Mediatek Helio P60 or a Snapdragon 600-series processor. Though the display’s details are yet to be known, one can expect the phone to come with a dewdrop notch like the U1. Other than that, the phone is expected to have the same Android 8.1 based ColorOS 5.2 and to have dual rear camera setup and an AI-powered front camera.
The Realme A1 is expected to launch early next year, and like the rest of the Realme smartphones, it’ll probably arrive in India before it explores other countries. Price-wise, DroidShout expects it to be around INR10,000 which is around RM600.
