realme GT Neo 3 goes official in Malaysia for RM2099

realme has introduced the GT Neo 3 gaming smartphone in Malaysia, it is the first Mediatek Dimensity 8100 powered device to be sold here and comes with an attractive racing stripe design and very enticing features, the phone can be purchased now at a special price of RM1,799, which is RM300 off its usual price.

In terms of performance, the Dimensity 8100 SoC is a pretty powerful chipset that should power most graphics intensive game titles on Android and match the performance of the Snapdragon 888, the phone comes equipped with 8GB RAM that can be virtually expanded up to 13GB and 256GB of non-expandable storage, the GT Neo 3 ensures sustained performance in long duration gaming by having a Stainless Steel Vapor Cooling System Max that manages the thermals.

Sporting a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that shows 1 Billion colors and refreshes at 120Hz, the GT Neo 3 has one of the best visual experience in the RM2,000 priced smartphone category, it features an in-screen fingerprint reader that also serves as a heart rate monitor, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, an X-axis Linear Motor that ensures strong and precise vibration when it comes to gaming.

The most interesting part of the phone’s display is the inclusion of a Dedicated Display Processor, which realme says that it intelligently inserts intermediate frames on supported games to increase the frame rate up to 120fps, the brand hasn’t been clear on which game it supports right now but this is nonetheless a commendable effort, as most Android games will default to 60fps even when the phone has a high refresh rate display.

In terms of cameras, the GT Neo 3 isn’t a let down as it has the well acclaimed 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS that excels in low light performance and everyday photography, it is complemented by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro lens, while selfies are taken care with a 16MP camera.

The GT Neo 3 comes with a dual-cell 5000mAh battery and will support 80W SuperDart flash charging, realme has claimed that the battery will retain 80% of the original capacity after 1600 charge cycles, which is a very impressive statement here as most phone batteries will only hold up to 800 charging cycles.

The realme GT Neo 3 ships with Android 12 and comes in colors of Le Mans Blue and Silverstone White, it can be purchased at Lazada and all realme authorised stores in Malaysia. Unfortunately, realme Malaysia no plans to introduce the Naruto version of the phone here, which comes in a special Naruto themed chassis and can support up to 150W of fast charging.
