Realme 3 Pro is expected to have 6GB RAM and possibly a 48MP camera

Realme 3 is launching next week in Malaysia on 21 March, but let’s put that aside, because now we’re hearing news about the Realme 3 Pro already. In India, the launch of Realme 3 Pro is already confirmed to be in April.

Both NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission) and BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) have certified the device with the model number RMX1851. Similar to how the Realme 3 is the successor to the Realme 2, the Realme 3 Pro will naturally be the successor to the Realme 2 Pro.

The Realme 3 has a 6.22-inch display with a dewdrop notch and has a 16MP front camera with a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera. It has a fingerprint sensor on its back and still comes with a headphone jack. In India, the Realme 3 comes with 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P70 processor.

We’d expect the Realme 3 Pro to be almost similar, but slightly better since it’s the Pro version. According to MySmartPrice, the Realme 3 Pro’s main competition is the Redmi Note 7 Pro that has a 48MP camera as one of its USPs, so it’s only logical to assume that Realme 3 Pro might also level up its main rear camera to 48MP. That aside, it might also get a bigger battery with fast charging to match its competitor. Personally, I believe the headphone jack will still be found in the Realme 3 Pro, and the fingerprint mount on its back might just be replaced with an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

Since India took around a month between the launch of the Realme 3 and Realme 3 Pro, we will probably see the Realme 3 Pro at the end of April if it launches in Malaysia.
