Razer Phone makes unofficial debut in Malaysia

The Razer Phone was the second new player in the global flagship smartphone market. Unlike the Essential Phone, the phone made by the gaming company wasn’t plagued with software issues such as camera optimization. In fact, the Razer Phone has been claimed to have one of the best battery life for a flagship smartphone. The handset went on sale in Singapore just recently, and now it has arrived to Malaysian shores.

This of course, isn’t the official Malaysian debut of the Razer Phone. However, the phone can be found on online retail platforms such as 11street, plus popular Malaysian gadget retailer DirectD. There is still no news relating to an official Malaysian launch of the Razer Phone. But if it isn’t going to happen, you will have to resort to these avenues if you intend to get one yourself.

These Razer Phone units are import sets, which means that the warranty lies either with the retailer or with Razer overseas. It is a risk to take, but one simply can’t resist the up to 120 Hz refresh rate of the Razer Phone, along with its top performing Snapdragon 835 processor and 8GB of RAM. The Razer Phone currently carries a price tag as low as RM 3,299 in Malaysia, which is the initial price tag of Samsung’s Galaxy S8. Sounds like an opportunity to be grabbed. What do you think?
