Razer’s flagship mechanical keyboard, the BlackWidow Chroma, is getting an update as the gaming peripheral makers have announced the new BlackWidow Chroma V2.
New to the BlackWidow Chroma V2 is the inclusion of the new Razer Yellow switch. According to Razer, the Yellow switch has a linear and silent design that comes with a reduced travel distance, allowing keys to be pressed much faster than before. The Razer Yellow switch has a lifespan of 80 million keystrokes, meaning the BlackWidow Chroma V2 will be able to withstand some substantial abuse. For those who prefer a more traditional BlackWidow experience, the BlackWidow Chroma V2 will also be available with Razer Green and Razer Orange switches.
Switches aren’t the only thing that is new to the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 keyboard as Razer has introduced a magnetic wrist rest that attaches to the bottom of the keyboard, giving users some comfort during extended gaming sessions.
For those interested, the Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2 will retail for RM899, which is the exact same price the current Razer BlackWidow Chroma is going for.
