Qualcomm’s mid-range 600 chips have been pretty decent in recent times, we have been rather familiar with the efficient Snapdragon 625, and more recently the Snapdragon 660 is starting to appear on devices like the Oppo R11. Come Q1 2018, Qualcomm is expected to unveil the Snapdragon 670 system-on-chip, it is reported to come with a new Adreno 600 series GPU chip which users can expect 25 percent increase in graphics performance.
According to Pocketnow, the Snapdragon 670 is fabricated on a 10nm process, it will feature eight CPU cores, which is made of two high performance Kyro 360 Cortex-A75 cores and six power efficient Kyro Cortex-A55 cores. This is going to be an exciting upgrade over the current Snapdragon 660 processor, which is already a great performing despite having a 14nm process.
If there are no delays on production, we might actually see the company unveil more details about the chip during CES 2018 and expect production OEM devices in Mobile World Congress next year.
