Qualcomm to reveal more details about the Snapdragon 835 at CES 2017

Qualcomm’s next flagship processor, the Snapdragon 835, will most likely be making its public debut at CES 2017 as the company has tweeted a teaser earlier today.

Previous reports about the Snapdragon 835 reveals that the chip itself is manufactured on Samsung’s own 10nm FinFET process, supposedly giving it significantly improved performance and power efficiency. The Snapdragon 835 will also support Qualcomm’s own Quick Charge 4 technology that is capable of giving the smartphone five hours of battery life with just five minutes of charging time.

While the specifics of the Snapdragon 835 have yet to be revealed, benchmark results of what is supposedly an 835 development board found on the GFXBench site reveal that the chip itself features an octa-core design with a clock speed of 2.2GHz. The chip could also sport an Adreno 540 GPU that is supposedly 30% faster than the Adrena 530. Of course, do take the information with a pinch of salt as the results could potentially be faked.
