PUBG’s Vikendi snow map to be released on 20 December 2018

The long awaited “Vikendi” map on PUBG will soon be made available for players to download this coming 20 December 2018.

According to XDA Developers and Beebom, they claimed to have obtained the patch notes for PUBG Mobile 0.10.0 update, which revealed that Vikendi map would go live at 5:30am IST (12:00am UTC) on 20 December 2018. The Vikendi map has already been made available on Public Test Servers for PC since last week, with PS4 and Xbox One to follow soon.

The Vikendi map is definitely a map all players should look forward to as it brings a whole lot of new stuff such as a 6km x 6km snow map, a new weather mode : snow, a Vikendi-exclusive vehicle called Snowmobile, snowball fight at Vikendi’s Spawn Island, added layout for players with large hands, added a display for Crew Challenge winners on Erangel’s Spawn Island. Season one’s winning teams will appear on the Spawn Island of their respective server and modes (Season two registration starts at 0:00 UTC on 18 DEC 2018), players’ best results in Crew Challenge will now be shown on their Crew pages and can be shared with other players.

Other than that, there’s also added cross-server matchmaking which after enabling, players have a chance to be matched to players of the same tier on other servers. As for players that repeatedly exit matches right after starting will now be banned from finding matches for a period of time. Players are also allowed to report suspicious behavior while spectating after dying in the game.

To top it off, PUBG will now add Arabic support and players do not need to select a second language for matchmaking or chatting. The chat system will also take up less memory and stores more messages, as well as having new commands for quick chat.
