Two years have passed since the release of the 1000-series of graphics cards from Nvidia so it’s about time that they produced new cards to keep up with the current demand. They should announce the new cards in the coming months but based on some leaks and rumours, we have a rough idea of how the new cards will far.
Based on the leaks and rumours, the new cards will be powered by a 104 class GPU that measures around 400mm² and it will have around 2688 CUDA cores, 256-bit 8GB to 16GB of 12Gbps GDDR6 memory. It is also expected to have a core clock of 1.5GHz and a boost clock of 1.8GHz. On the issue of power draw, it is expected to be between 140 – 160W and the compute performance will be around 9.75TFLOPS which put it around the same power as the 1080 Ti.
