The Porsche Taycan will have Apple Music integrated on its infotainment system

When we are so accustomed to seeing cars these days having built-in Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, it isn’t everyday that you see one integrating Apple Music on their infotainment system, and Porsche has done that to the upcoming Taycan EV.

With Apple Music built-in, drivers will no longer need to connect their phones to play songs in their Apple Music library and will depend on the EV’s cellular network service for streaming.

The Taycan EV’s infotainment system will still come with Apple CarPlay support if you still want to access other features of your iPhone, no Android Auto support has been mentioned however.

Streaming partnerships are rather in cars are rather common these days, with Tesla being one of the early adopters by integrating with Slacker in the US and Spotify to come soon. Even our very own Proton X70 has partnered with Tencent to offer music streaming services in-car.

The Porsche Taycan EV is expected to launch in early September, local automotive site Paul Tan has also revealed that Porsche Malaysia is expected to bring in the EV in 2020.
