The official pricing of the POCO F2 Pro has been announced and is available to purchase this June 10. The 6GB+128GB model is priced at RM2,199, while the 8GB+256GB variant is priced at RM2,599.
The former will have its price dropped to RM1,999 during a Lazada flash sale on June 10; meanwhile, the latter will get you a free Black Shark Funcooler fan that helps dissipate heat when you’re gaming.
To recap, the phone packs a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with very thin bezels and no notch or punch hole cutout – this is thanks to the phone’s pop-up front camera mechanism that’s positioned on the left side of the phone.
As the POCO F2 Pro is basically the rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro, you can expect the same circular camera bump at the back. The housing is populated by a 64MP main lens, a 2MP depth sensor, a 5MP telemacro camera and a 13MP ultrawide angle lens. For selfies, you get a single 20MP shooter.
The POCO F2 Pro also packs a 4,700mAh battery with support for up to 30W of fast charging. The phone also comes with Xiaomi’s LiquidCool Technology 2.0 that helps lowers the temperature of the phone while gaming.
This is phone comes after the launch of one of its main competitors, the realme X3 SuperZoom which, despite having an older Snapdragon 855+ chipset, could prove to be a better value since it has a 120Hz display and also supports 30W fast charging. Plus, the realme X3 SuperZoom is priced at RM2,299 for its 12GB+256GB model while the F2 Pro will already set you back RM2,599 with the 8GB+256GB variant.
