PlayStation VR to be available in Malaysia on the 13th of October; retails for RM1,849

Sony’s long awaited VR headset, the PlayStation VR, will be coming to Malaysia on the 13th of October.

In an special press conference held by Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia (SIEJA), Sony has officially revealed that the PSVR unit itself will retail for RM1,849, which is a tad bit more than units being sold in both the United States and Japan.

Utilising the PSVR will also require two other peripherals aside from the PS4 console. The first is the PlayStation Camera, the other is the PlayStation Move controller. Sony will be releasing a PSVR+PS Camera bundle for those who require it, this particular package will go for RM2,029. Unfortunately, a PSVR+Camera+PlayStation Move bundle doesn’t seem to be available, so you’re going to have to source a PS Move controller yourself.

Pre-orders for the PSVR will begin this Saturday (30th of July). If you’re interested in securing your own PSVR unit, you can head to any of the PlayStation Authorized Dealers listed above.
