If you have been looking to an alternative to the Meta Quest 2, then be very excited because ByteDance’s PICO 4 all-in-one VR headset is set to launch in Malaysia on October, the company is also set to have a roadshow from October 11-16 with no details of the location disclosed yet.
At just 295g without the strap and measuring 35.8mm of thickness, the PICO 4 is a powerful VR headset that’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 processor – the very same silicon that powers the Oculus Quest 2, it also has a large 5300mAh battery that supports QC 3.0 charging.
The PICO 4 has four well-placed SLAM cameras around the thin frame of the HMD allows high precision tracking and mapping of surroundings, while a powerful 16MP RGB camera resides underneath the cover, the PICO 4 offers a comfortable and great visual quality with a 90Hz 4K+ display.
The controllers of the PICO 4 resembles the Meta Quest 2’s a lot with a arc design, it supports 6DoF that allow users to enjoy a wider degree of movement within the virtual environment and features a HyperSense broadband motor for more realistic haptic feedback.
