PICO 4 VR headset launches in Malaysia from RM1699

If you are looking for a VR headset with official local availability and support, the PICO 4 VR headset has officially made its debut today in Malaysia, the contender to the popular Meta Quest 2 VR headset has many to offer when it comes to both hardware and software features, and most notably, it has a really attractive starting price of RM1,699 with a base storage configuration of 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage, while the higher 256GB storage variant will retail at RM1,999.

Powered by the Snapdragon XR2 SoC, the PICO 4 features a pair of 2.56″ LCD display that pushes a resolution of 4320×2160 that refreshes at 90Hz, which is a really impressive visual quality for a VR headset, not to mention its lightweight and compact aesthetic at just 295g without the straps, this is made possible with the use of Pancake optics to reduce the distance between the lens and display.

Like its competitor, the PICO 4 can be controlled with a pair of 6DoF controllers that comes with a strong linear motor known as the HyperSense motors, the headset features 3D Spatial Audio for an immersive VR experience.

The PICO 4 can be purchased starting today at PICO’s official store on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok shop, customers who purchase the headset from 12-16 October 2022 will receive a RM100 off their purchase on both variants.
